Why are ostrichs and Penguins called birds if they don't fly? I suppose they have feathers...maybe they used to fly. Penguins fly underwater I wonder if an Ostrich can too?
We have starlings nesting in our roof and swallows in the barn I wonder if ostriches would nest in the roof. Maybe thats why they can't fly because they'd make too much mess...yuk!
I wonder where Abby and Greg are they say they have too much work to do to write on here but I have lots of work too like reading and drawing triangles so maybe I'm just the best writer.

Hi, everybody I think that Greg and Abby are out so I will write this on my own though I don't
know what to say.Except that sometimes no one listens to me and I wish that I was bigger !
Well no thats not all when I make the cows try to move out of the way they ignore me and thats because I'm small.We have three cows and they are all bigger than me! My dad says I will grow bigger muscles if I help clear out the stables but my muscles don't even seem to be in the right place yet so they can't get bigger.
I like dogs best because Dolly is always kind and licks alot, except I don't like it when she has smelly breath, sometimes she eats horse poos so I think thats why.
Have you ever seen a rat I've seen one and it has a really long tail and they are a bit scarey, except that rat got eaten by our big cat spikey he's white mostly except he has a black tail and he waits for rats all night and watches them and sometimes he eats them.
I have to go to bed now my mum says that if I go to bed earlier I will be much cleverer than everyone else so ....goodnight!

I saw some just now three whooper swans they're beautiful with yellow and black sort of beaks not like mute swans whose beaks are orangey. If you see any let me know I'm going to go to the Loch later and count them.
I saw a blackbird Greg and a Robin and mum said we saw a wren.
Humm thats good Abby, Wrens are very small and Gold Crests are even smaller but I haven't seen one of those here yet.
Oh well lets go and find Jimmy.
